I'm finding my posts are overtyping themselves so that I cannot go back and edit them if I need to. Any idea why this is or is there something I need to do?

Um, yeah. When the first line is full (or maybe even before this), the new words type over themselves instead of kicking down to the next line so that there are two lines in the space of one line. I noticed it happening at work yesterday. And it only happens on the first two lines. I use Netscape at work on a PC, but I can't remember the version. How's that for helpful?
I use Netscape 4.6 on a Mac at home and haven't had a problem. Maybe I should just stick to Macs. They've always been superior.
:)One thing I have noticed about typing in messages is that on my Mac, the lines are a lot shorter. On the PC, they are very long and I have to scroll sideways in the box to see. On this Mac, I can see everything width-wise, just have to scroll up and down. Clear as mud?

Weird! Only the first two lines? After that they kick down like they should?

Your lines aren't "wrapping". I thought Netscape started doing that automatically a while ago, so again it might be a version thing...

Well, so much for that theory. I've never heard of this before, so I still wonder if it's a problem on your end. Do you have a good connection? Would it be too much trouble to re-install Netscape and see if that fixes it? Maybe clear your cache first, too...

Well, my connection is through a T1 line through the university for which I work. I would assume it is a good connection. My computer is brand-new (imagine that!) and Netscape was installed with it. I don't have the software. The system admin guys keep all of that stuff, so reinstalling isn't possible. I guess I'll just live with it. Thanks.
I'll also try clearing my cache. Of course, this problem hasn't happened since I posted about it last week...

Unfortunately, no. I just called up a post from Shell (http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/20010122/msgs/52923.html) and when I went to reply to the post found the words from her post double up at the start of the graph ending with the words "nauseous" and "there." So it's not just when I try to type something in this doofey box...

Either I was wrong about the "nauseous" line, or the problem has just moved farther down -- to the graph ending in "noticed." So now the graphs ending in "there" and "noticed" are doubled up at the beginning, and the graph ending in "there" has words doubled up in a section in the middle of the graph too.
