not sure i worded that title correctly. i just started taking .5mg klonopin (generic) "as needed". thing is, i absolutely have to take it twice a day and maybe even three. it is really working and i've found my anxiety socially gone and my racing thoughts have come under control. but i can tell when it wears off. i was never like this with xanax. i truly used it as needed, and it was helping with pa's but i was developing ticks and weird social phobia stuff. all of those issues have disappeared with the klonopin. i'm also started taking 10mg lexapro, but i don't think this improvement is from that.
anyway, i'm a little concerned by how immediate this was. but, then again, if i don't take my wellbutrin i don't feel good either so i'm just as "dependent" on it as i am on the klonopin.
should i be worried or even care. it's working. but i dread the thought of ever having to go off of it!
what do you think?

Maintance dosing is usually 2-4 mgs over a 24 hour period.
Medical dependence happens but addiction has a distinct set of characteristics.
I was comfortable with medical dependence so long a addiction didn't seem to be happening - which thankfully was the case for me for years.
Lexapro has been great for me and I don't use Klonopin at present. But, I did for 3 years.

I started Wellbutrin XL a few days ago for depression, concentration, and motivation. So far no effects from 150 mg, but it's way too early to know.
How much Wellbutrin do you take, and how has it helped you?

i LOVE wellbutrin. i've been on 2-3 years? i gave up count. i have to take the immediate release because if i take more than 75mg at a time my body temperature drops below 96 (i get really really cold) and it took us a while for my pdoc and me to figure that out. so i take 75mg tabs, but i take them 5 times a day, so that's a total of 375mg/day.
it was hard to get on for the first 4-6 weeks. lots of anger. i used ativan at the time to mellow that. then i got off the ativan and didn't need it.
it's really important to give up caffeine. if you take the SR or XL, good to take before 2pm so you can sleep. with the immediate release, i can take a dose at bedtime and not have my sleep effected at all... probably because it's only 75mg.
but i love it because i am not depressed on it and i can still feel. i have no emotional numbing. that was really important to me. i just took xanax as needed when the emotions of therapy were too much.
i just added lexapro and klonopin to help me get through some major life changes. i'm happy so far with both. but i really don't even mind if i am on the wellbutrin for the rest of my life. i feel normal on it, and normal is very good.
