Cyber, so you are on your Ritalin trial after your MAOI washout? I never tried the "SR" version, I tried the "LA" version which releases immediately (10mg), and then waits four hours and releases immediately again (10mg). You may need to boost the dose of SR. Would your pdoc write for generic methylphenidate (say 5mg 4x daily)? It is a hassle to take more tabs, but it sure is very cheap and you will get the immediate release.--Mitch

>thanks for replying Mitch
yes i washed out parnate and don't feel too bad at all :) .... sleep too much though (thanks to zyprexa)
i think my doc probably prefers SR because
1) it keeps you at a constant level, so you always
feel stable, also
2) there is no immediate noticeable effect, so there
is less of a chance for abuse (i have no history of addiction, but who knows)so no one here has heard of Ritalin SR????
This is the end of the thread.
