This behind the scenes gossip is uncivil in my opinion. I don't know why anyone would email Phillipa and say things about you. Are you sure this is even true? How many times have we been down this road with someone "saying" something and we don't know it if is even true. Dr. Bob should be a stop to this babblemail.

Yeah, especially when Phillipa tells me how mad her husband is and that she is holding him back so as not send me a nasty email and that he is "seething". Luckily, I never gave Phillipa my email so she has no way of contacting me that way. I have two emails ... one for work and one for friends.

Oh yeah, I forgot. I received 16 BabbleMails from people saying exactly what you wrote above. So I am not going to worry about it anymore. I have bigger problems to deal with right now.

Maxime - I love reading your posts. I don't do babblemail, because I think things that are interesting to say should be said on the board. It depresses me that there is all this gossip and bad blood behind the scenes. Why would people have a problem with you? I know you have been having major problems yourself and I hope and hope that things clear up for you.

Thank you so much. Your post means a lot to me. No, I am not doing very well at all but I have had a lot of support from peeps here. I am going to phone my pdoc this week and see if he will prescribe some Desipramine for me without seeing me first. Maybe that will help?

I'm sorry that you are experiencing this at all, and particularly when you are going through such a difficult time.
You have my complete support.

Phillipa's husband? I don't like this one bit. That passive aggressive crap is uncivil. I don't like the tone of that. Yet again, we have the same person involved in these types of gossip and threatening types of babblemail.
Dr. Bob what are you going to do?

Babblemail is able to be read by Dr. Bob. I would be more than glad to send the babblemails to Dr. Bob as kept copies both of mine send and those received. All are civil. And it is not permissible for my husband to post from same ISP as per old admin thread in I feel 2004 under my name when he was posting under the name of gnepig. Bob said only one poster from same ISP unless he used my name and signed his name at the bottom. Alexandra was involved at the time. Phillipa

Yes, but you weren't talking about your husband posting on PB at first as indicated by the last part of your Babble Mail. You wrote it as if he was going to send me an email or something.
"It's hard for me and my husband to grasp why a last tribute a form of closure for his Mom has been tainted. And I did all I could to keep my husband from writing you as he is livid."

Yes, they are. I sent them to him because I don't like been threatened with the thought of posts and emails coming from a husband who is "livid" and in an another BM he was "spitting mad". To be honest I didn't know what sort of Babble Mail I was going to receive next. Didn't know if would be Phillipa or a "livid" and "spitting" mad husband.

Well to be honest he wanted to open an account on his computer and babblemail you. I wouldn't let him as Bob said no and I don't have your e-mail so how could he email you? And he dictated his feelings. Either that or he would have done what he wanted to. Hard to stop someone from anything. I did succeed. And you heard his words written on the babblemail. Tainted and Spitting mad that's a threat? Boy the things he calls me in this house are definitely worse than that. But that's my problem. I deal with it. Phillipa now please just let it go "To Err is Human To Forgive Is Devine".it's time for me to work ebay calling. Got to earn money

Are you saying that you talked to Bob and asked him if your husband could create an account here so he could babblemail Maxime to tell her how "livid" he was?

> Are you saying that you talked to Bob and asked him if your husband could create an account here so he could babblemail Maxime to tell her how "livid" he wasI joined Babble in 2002. As far back as I can remember, I've read posts that are written by posters who say they have received either babblemail or emails that they didn't particularly solicit. This seems to happen two or three times a year.
I believe that the old, old saying of "where there is smoke, there is fire" is usually true.
I can tell that this thread of comments is upsetting to you and I know that the recipients of the babblemails are upset. This is a mental health support forum. I would hope that the "behind the scenes" communications will end because none of us need anymore stress than we are already experiencing IRL.

Of course not. Back when first joined in 2004 we both posted under different names but had the same ISP. Bob said a choice was to be made. Pick his poster name and If I posted sign under his Postername with my postername. My husband decided to just let me post as it was too complicated and would be to others. Hence during a discussion on admin in I think 2004 we had to accept that just one could post and surely couldn't afford two ISP's. He was gnepig and I was Phillipa. Google his name and you will see posts of his a lot with Alexandra K at the time. No not upset as I spend most of my time on facebook. And ebaying. I must google a Michael Kors bag now. Phillipa

You are correct, it always seems we have a problem like this a few times a year....with the same poster. This type of veiled bullying should not be allowed on babblemail. Each time the person apologizes and runs away, just like when bullies are confronted. NOBODY should have to be subjected to this.
Dr. Bob, please explain if this type of gossip and threats are allowable on the site.

Hang in there. People have your back. When we don't feel well it can be overwhelming. Since the theme here is being civil all of the time I don't think it should be allowable to be mean via babblemail.
Dr. Bob please give advice.

I won't worry with doing a search on Google for his name. I believe you.
I am concerned about the current babblemails that we're discussing today and tonight.

I hope we can find some resolution tonight and I'm certain that you feel the same. I think that it would be a shame if we let this opportunity pass us by, don't you?
I know that everyone is busy IRL but I'm hopeful, Phillipa, that we can lay this issue to rest tonight.
I will be here.

Even Gladys Kravitz had an Abner to tell her to stay outta other's personal business... :) I don't know that Dr. Bob will take on the Abner role.
If (and when) a poster takes on the Gladys Kravitz's role and gets that reputation as what they "are" on a board, I am of the belief THAT can be contributory to the death of a site and a source of anger and harm that cause folks to retreat...

"I remember Ame Sans Vie, but his name doesn't stick out as great poster - i.e. someone who posted a lot and was a constant part of the PB community. It was a long time ago."
If I had posted, at the request of a grieving mother, who might have been expected to request the comments posted at Babble, and someone made the above comment on the thread that the mother later requested a link to, a mother who very well might think their son was cared about here (not without reason) and that four years was not all that long ago when a son is lost, I might feel very uncomfortable at the idea of providing that link. And I might feel angry at feeling uncomfortable. My husband might feel a bit angry too.
Maxime, perhaps I overidentify with that mother. Certainly it is hard not to so when the younger pictures of Michael stir memories of my own son's vulnerability and innocence. Maybe they do for Phillipa as well, as she has her own son. No one wants to hurt you, but neither does anyone want to see Ame Sans Vie's mother hurt, given the pain she has already endured. I respect and appreciate that you have contacted her and worked things out.
Perhaps, in this instance, the least said the soonest mended. Maxime has appropriately repaired the situation and contacted Michael's mother. Phillipa has thanked her for that.
Why don't we just let this be?
