Hey everyone...my week has not been too bad...I have a wedding on saturday that will cause some anxiety and my vacation is sort of next week will only work tues and weds..the office cant get away without me for a full week but that is ok..we rented a lakehouse for mel and the baby and keith and my brother and his fiance we went halfs...but it should be good as long as I feel good holds out...so pray for me..how is everyone else doing...ANAKIN DIDNT GET THE PIC COULD YOU PLEASE SEND IT AGAIN..ME SAD EXSPECIALLY IF EVERYONE ELSE SEES IT..wahhhhhh...take care everyone and will catch up soon..luvya allllll yoyo's Mystic

Hi Mrs. C. -
I learned that I have to put *trigger* in the subject when discussing this topic!Sandy cut her wrists pretty badly after a week or so that included 2 attempted overdoses and some very dark times. She called the mobile crisis line that night and then must've called 911, but didn't remember. She doesn't remember much of the night or following day at all! Thank God she called and of course they committed her from the ER. She spent a few days on a very pleasant in-patient ward with a really good staff.
She is now hooked up with oodles of services and is feeling very supported and cared for! She will be attending a day treatment program, had her housing taken care of, has a whole treatment team with a counselor, psychi, social worker, etc. Her mom, dad and sister came right away and have been helping her sort through all the resources and choices, and of course helping her kids who appear to be getting through it all okay. She even found out her leave of absence from nursing school was approved, if she wants to go back next year some time.
She's taking Seroquel and may try something else. Basically the p-doc said she doesn't have a diagnosable mental illness - just really poor coping strategies that did not carry her through these trying times. She sounds really great, not 100% stable yet . . . but so much better and on her way! I hope it continues to be a happy ending!
I'll let her know you inquired and send her hugs! She's decided not to post anymore. She feels terrible for all she thinks she put everyone through. Of course I told her that's just par for the course when you get involved in these type of boards and not to feel badly about it!

Mystic - Sounds like you're feeling a little better! The lake house sounds wonderful and the weather is supposed to be pretty mild over the next week - not scorching hot, at least here in the midwest!
I hope you find something that does the trick for you. I read all these posts of people who are on 2 & 3 different meds. I know that is hard for you to deal with, but I hope you give the suggestions you receive a good try. It's like jumping off the high dive- it's hard to climb the ladder and stand there looking down, but once you do it, it's usually not so bad! I'm praying for you to have the strength you need and to feel better!!!

I thought you might be a Leo! How fun! I was born in '63, so I'm a little ahead of you. I'll always remember my 1979 birthday though. I was dating my first serious boyfriend that summer and he gave me a promise ring on that day!
Wow, you're going to hit the quarter century mark this summer :-). That one had more impact on me than 30 did. But, you've accomplished a lot more than I did by that time and are in a really good place in life it seems. All you need is that sparkly gem on your left hand!! Lexy, I hope you never lose your sparkly, buoyant spirit and energy to help others - don't let anyone wear you down and take that away from you. Continue taking good care of yourself now and guarding your health - both body & soul!

Maybe it's the weather that is helping. Our temps have been in the upper 70s low 80s - not the usual midwestern heat wave!
I'm in the midst of transitioning from Lex to Wellbutrin, so I'm a little more emotional than usual - and a little dizzier too - but trying to stay positive about making the change.

The weather here in Connecticut has been really cool for this time of year too!!
I am not complaining but I like to go night swimming and it's just impossible with the cool nights we have been having.
The weather is definetely a plus for me and my anxiety, I do like the snow and the winter but by January I have had it...I think that Winter should end in January and Spring should begin. I absolutely love the fall and all the holidays that go along with it - that is my happiest most feel good time of all. Fall in New England is just incredible. Where are you from Lynne?

I'm from St. Louis - the most humid place in the U.S., I am sure! I love the northeast . . . except for the winters! I've spent a lot of time for work and pleasure in Massachusetts, NJ and Maine. Yes, night swimming probably wouldn't be something you can do regularly up there!! It is amazing how much weather can effect mood. My symptoms actually get worse in July and August - don't know if it's just my biorythms or if it's the heat! I do okay in December/January. Our winters are fairly mild. A few good snow and/or ice storms and that's it!
