hi K, i was wondering how long the tiredness lasted with you? was it the full 6 weeks? or was it worse at first then slowly gets better?
i know all about the snooze button, and what makes it worse is that i work nights mainly so i dont work till 5 or 6 pm...that means i dont give myself a reason to leave bed if im not working until the evening...ugh i waste the day away..i hate that. before i would always be up by 10am ready to take on the day. I will keep the faith though, this is just a phase that will pass. thank you so much for reminding me.:)thanks again.

Hi Mag,
I was a zombie for about 6 weeks. At that point my patience wore out and I asked my psychiatrist for Wellbutrin. It's helping, but I can't quite tell how effective it is since I've only been on it for a week or so. (And only recently increased to 20 mgs of Lexapro with 150 mgs of Wellbutrin.) Just remember, if it doesn't go away (but it probably will) there are always other alternatives.

Hi Mystic,
Things always seem to slow down on the Lex board as the weekend approaches. Don't worry, they'll all turn up on Monday. Also, I think the Redirect post from Dr. Bob might have thrown a couple people off.
I'm really looking forward to Easter...my family always goes out for brunch. But this year we have to drive for 45 mins to get to the restaurant. I get nervous about leaving home and taking long drives. (I didn't used to - my anxiety hit me about a year ago, before that I LOVED road trips!)
What are your plans for Easter?

I'm right there with you K...we usually go to my husbands sisters which is about 45 min away but there year I just cant I told him to go but he travels alot with his work and he doesnt really feel like it either if I'm not going..I am not a travel person when I get out of my comfort zone I am a basket case..but hope to work on that as it really limits you to the things that you can do in life and I'm tired of being afraid all the time..but to answer the questions we are staying home and I'm cooking ham and my daughter is coming over so that will be nice and stress free looking forward to it..Just put her easter basket together and little ryans (who is not born yet may 15th)...I think that it was me that Dr Bob was talking about I wrote those posts on the med postings and he resent them over here..sorry...Well I'm off glad you are doing ok and I will be thinking of you on sunday and hope you have a great day...Mystic

lol..no my computer did not explode, although that would be something..;) i stayed at my boyfriends last nite cause we didnt have to work today..its so much nicer not sleeping alone so i welcome it whenever i get the chance (which isnt very often) how was your nights? does anyone take their meds at the same time everyday? i took mine 4 hours late today cause i figured i would have been home by noon..which i wasnt. Is this a very bad thing, that i took it this late? i always find something to worry about, go figure;)
Its so beautiful outside today! i love it, if only it would stay like this.
Happy Easter everybody, mmm chocolate..i'll try not to overindulge, no one likes a sugar crash.
(well maybe this is the one exception.;))i'll post again later to see how everyones doing.
here's my quote for the day!

Hi Lexy,
I'm sorry to hear you aren't feeling much better on 20 mgs. The increase seems to have helped me, but of course some of the side effects have returned along with some new ones. *sigh* I just want to feel better again...but I'm getting much closer to my goal. I would say I'm about 75% to 80% back to "my old self." However, I get a setback once a month when my period hits and it takes me about a week to recuperate from that...so 2 weeks out of each month I feel off.
I have a pdoc visit in about 3 wks and hope I feel better by then...I really don't want to have to adjust to anymore increases or med changes. It's getting to be a little irritating.
Have a fantastic Easter, and I hope you and your mom have a good weekend.
K.

Well I'm sitting here just got done grocery shopping and having my first glass of wine since on the meds just felt like it tonight..I hope that it doesnt do anything and make me feel crappy again but we will see...I used to go out every friday night with my brother and his wife and my husband but havent done that in a long time...We used to have a quite a few beers and some appitizers I really miss it a lot...it is soooo social...So just felt like having one tonight...Anyone have any input on that i would love to hear any experiences with the lex and having a couple of drinks..I hope that everyone is doing well tonight it has been so quiet I have missed everyone...Talk to you later...Mystic

Hey bridetobe..I'm your official WELCOMER..haha. this site is a little easier it gives us a chance to really get to know each other beyond all the med talk we still talk about the meds but we really want to know how people are feeling and their families and life beyond meds...So welcome my friend and you should be proud of yourself for coming this far and I'm sure the meds are going to help you...just be patient that is one thing we all have in common we have little patience but it will pay off...take care you have come to a very comforting place....Mystic
