One lesson I learned - never teach post migraine

Posted by madeline on April 26, 2007, at 16:16:21

I'm usually a very easy going teacher, you know "whatever man, just study hard and do the work" you know?

But last night I was coming off a migraine and I was NOT the nicest person on the planet. I know my kids were like "who are you and what have you done with Dr. Maddie?"

It was a review for the final and I swear my kids were acting like this is the first time they had seen the material.

I didn't lose it, but I think I might have gotten after them a little too much.

I hope i didn't scare them into not studying. They all did so well on their midterms.

Oh well, I guess I'll just grade easy.

When you teach you have to be so neutral all the time, neutral, professional and positive. Last night I just couldn't manage it.

To all of my students, I'm sorry.

Maddie
