First, college is not the bee all and end all.. My husband is classed as genuis, and went to university two years early, yet failed his first year once, re did it and the failed his second year.. he didn't get up with a "good" degree, yet is incredibly successful in his field..
I left school at 16! I've gained a few minor qualifications over the years, but nothing like a degree level one.. yet, it is possible to work your way up from an entry level job.. And now I have found a passion (I was 30 before finding it though!), I now have a really successful career where I get alot of respect.I also happen to know alot of pharmacy tech's.. I know we're in the UK, but its something that is in real demand here. Some of the ones I know work in research, one works directly with my husband on the compter side of things, some work in the pharmacy.. all kinds of different things. Two or three are doing their phamarcist degree's in their 30's being sponsored by their employer to do so.
Success, or lack of it, is not dependent on a degree, i promise..
