Or that I will never get a well-paid job?No, of course it doesn't, although when you're 16, it can seem like it can. Alot of successful people don't have GCSEs - People like Richard Branson, Alan Sugar, musicans etc etc etc.
I suggest you see a careers advisor, freely availble at your local/school college.
Of course you can sit GCSEs at a local college. You need to be fairly commited to them through. Classes are alot less strict on attendance etc. They will worry about timetables for you. Pick subjects you actually like.
You certainly need very good grades at GCSE level and ok grades at A-level to get into any sort of decent university. I suggest if you're not academically minded, you should consider something vocational instead, and involves something you like doing.
Just out of interest, what exactly is a G grade - when I took my GCSEs we only had A*, A, B, C, D and E grades. You could get an F, but that meant fail.
