I like to study things that I'm interested in but I hate being told what to learn. I find it VERY boring. I think I'm going to try to get a job as an assistant in a pharmacy. The wage will be bad but it's better that nothing.

Is the problem the degree program or is it your current state of mind? I mean if you weren't dealing with depression symptoms already, would you be able to cope with school? If you think you'd be bored and uninterested with it even if you weren't struggling with depression then by all means, do something else. OTOH, if it is from depression, then there's still not much you can do to change how you feel about it.
Sorry for your dilemma.
