New to Students

Posted by deirdrehbrt on September 7, 2004, at 20:21:08

First time posting on the student board, but I know some of you from the rest of babble. So, as it's my first time, I'll post my first impressions being back to school:

Here it is.... after many years away from school, we're back. We're at the University of New Hampshire, starting part-time, and hoping to be studying psychology full-time next year.
It's strange to be 44 and in a class full of young people. It strange to be studying a subject that impacts your life on a daily basis. It's strange to be diagnosed with a condition that the text-book you are studying debates the existence of.
Amidst all of the strangeness though comes another reason to get well, well enough to stay out of the hospital at least, and to stay alive. Perhaps I will have more motivation to do well in school than I had when I was younger.
