i bet that if i enrolled in school certificate (even by correspondance and kept a low profile but did all the work).. if i worked at the work.. if i read the books or the plays, or whatever and the analysis of them or whatever and i really studied for it and worked hard at it...

i think i would likely fail it. the way it is, now, in the new zealand curriculum.

because it is about how much you suck up to your teacher and the other studnets in your class.

a combined sort of a copying from the teacher and the other studnets kind of a thing.

the way they do the internal assessments or assignments.

i mean, teachers can be more or less heavy handed or directive in what they want. they can make their grading criterion available to the studnets so that the students all do well. for example, in the private schools.

else the teachers can be maybe even misleading.. fail most hte class. i would imagine if you want to be paid to teach in the public schools...

and the kids.. i would imagine that if you got your marked work back from the teacher then the bully kids would want you to hand it over. so they could copy. maybe even copy it but changing the things you got wrong to get a better grade themselves. i bet that happens in both the public and private schoolsl. i bet the teachers... well.. yeah...

so...

the way the nz system works is that it is based on a combination of internal credits and external exam. such that it is impossible to get an excellence for a subject without doing very well in the internal. and it's not possible to do very well in teh internal without the teacher basically deciding that they grant you permission.

why would a teacher grant me permission?

to scrap through, maybe.. but to do very well?

see, now, the point of education is cosying up to the right people. im ean the lesson to new zealand is the way you get to PhD law from Harvard is you...

right?

it isn't abuot studying or anything like that. it's not that kind of work. it's not htat sort of a thing.
