it isn't like you can't find a f*ck*ng grassy paddock anywhere else in the world ffs.
the only draw of new zealand was the whole west-world aspect of it all where they refused to have and then to follow the most basic of human rights laws (or human rights inspired laws).

apparently the tall poppy thing.. you don't tell people your grades because they will cut your head off. well, that's not true. maybe they mean foreign grades on foreign tests that may (possibly) have been earned ratehr than brought.
but the nz grades are brought. sold to the highest bidder.

when nz thinks it wants to be the next silicon valley all it is really thinking (all it is really motivated and inspired by) is the idea that international studnets will pay heaps of money to come and 'study' and then we will put them to work making and maintaining the infrastructure while they pay us they pay us they pay us they pay us. and when they don't pay us anymore they be deported and denounced and not given qualifications and likely sent home raped and maybe after a period of involuntary incarceration in a hospital system, to boot.
quite the motivating and inspiring.
