so you learn about what they say they are going to do... the information they say they will use to process or progress an application, their criterion for deciding (so, what it is that they are looking for or what it is that they value).
and you make a decision on the basis of what they say they value.
so, when they say they value Dr Leeks having tortured and sexually abused and psychologically abused children for many man years then you know if that is something that you might, yourself, want to apply to do.
you know if you want to pay them the thousands of dollars that you are supposed to pay them so they can assess whether they think you would make a good torturer and abuser, whether you can grow your business and get paid more and more and more money for committing more and more crimes for more and more and more individuals... or whether they have a candidate more likely to succeed in all the things that it is that they value...
and you decide whether it is something you might like to apply to do.
but they aren't honest about what it is that they are selecting for.
so that they get lot of people applying. it is thousands of dollars that you pay to have them consider your application.
so you pay them you pay them you pay them you pay them you pay them you pay...
and they take the money.
let's say... let's say 1/2 of the applications that NYU (say) receive are accompanied by the application fee. That's 80 USD per application, I think they say they get around 10,000 applicants per year. So let's say they get 5,000 x 80 in application fees. That's $400,000 they make from application fees.
before giving the places to the kids on the basis of their parents address and secondary school attended (where they could do that by automaton. of course it took money to develop the automaton -- but i guess they could get a slave doing that work for them, so, whatever).
i picked NYU only because they get some obscene number of applications. i think it might be more than 10,000, actually... it might be more like 250,000. that might be right. about the same number of applicants as there were people in my town of birth at around the time of birth.
a whole small city / large-ish town full of slaves! who will do unpaid labor for the university (who will pay the university for their labor).
who will hand over their essays on whatever topics have been set. so that others can trawl through them all compiling a 'group essay' out of the individual studnets work... relatively easy to compile something like a large chunk of a government report or...
i guess that's why they get nz universities handing over all the slave labor to turnitin. then people from princeton etc (places who don't use the system against their students) can arrange to sell the slave labor to their own students to be handed in as the products of their system.
i mean... that's the only sense that i can make of why a few would opt out of using the system against their own students while not getting the thing shut down or properly denouncing the universities who force or require their own students to hand over their work (including theses)...

for examination...
the university can go 'thanks for your thesis. we fail you. go away. see you later. shut the f*ck up about your useless piece of garbage we never want to hear anything out of you again or we will arrange for your untimely detention and death... then go on to patient it for themselves. or whatever.
so the best theses will be stolen and the people who made them, well, that will be the end of their career. obviously.
anybody who has the capacity to work independently.
anyone who isn't dependent on their supervisor getting all the research funding etc.
but be bullied away. entirely. totally. completely.

new zealand is pulling old judges out of retirement rather than hiring newe judges.
the judiciary thinks that this will mean that even if international community require nz to stand down the judge as obviously incompetent there will be no loss to the judge (their present employment is dependent on them being paid when the laws actually require them to stand down at age 75, i belive).
they think they are hilariously funny because it would be discrimination on the basis of age ot get rid of them.. but it's obvious grotesque incompetence that is the problem.
but they've never let that stand in tehir way.
i mean... read the judgements of the courts.
the court of appeal and supreme court judges are nothing other than a gang of high court judges. same level judges. they think that if enough of them sign..
well, they can't throw out the entire judiciary as obviously incompetent. right?
except for the fact that it is in australias constution that nz is a state of australia and the federal governmetn has not been honoring it's obligations.
it gets the rocks from out of the ground and it hands them over.

new zealand is in fact the new manus island.
it is australia's on-shore detention-camp.
australia is saying tha they are doing a novel thing... allowing people who came into the country unlawfully in the first place to be granted citizenship within the country.
but of course they aren't.
because new zealand citizenship is nothing other than a 'restricted' or 'second class australian' citizenship.
that is because australian citizens have all of the rights of new zealand citizens (guffaw) in new zealand.
but new zealand citizens do not have all of the rights of australian citizens in australia.
so, australian citizens can apply to new zealand universities as well as australian universities and new zealand will train australian citizens as domestic in medicine, for example. they can get new zealand government studnet loans to borrow their fees and to pay their living expenses.
but not the case for new zealand citizens in australia.
