it's easy to throw away food, some of my friends i used to know bought tons of food for a party.....because there's always left over food from social's i mean it has no where to go......exept the trash or for scapts for people to take home after......
i think being thrifty also can get obsessive, like with gas prices, someone i know will drive 10 miles down the road to get gas 10cents cheaper when in turn it costs more gas to get there, so.....i think just moderation and not being "too" obsessive, but also using logic to know what's gonna happen to the food, aka.....it will eaten later, or it will be put in the fridge and then no one will want it (that's getting rid of food)
