This is not true and has not happened.
Conflicting ideas whether it will hurt or help. Probably extraordinarily hard to enforce and then we will lose track of people since they can, for example, if they still are intent on coming to the U.S., just get entry stamps from nearby countries by driving there and flying out of a different airport.
It's a hard decision but my main point is there is NO travel ban imposed by the U.S.
