Non medication related insomnia

Posted by Partlycloudy on July 1, 2014, at 10:10:28

Hi all,
I'm experiencing some delaying PTSD reactions to my recent rehabilitation stay. The story is longer than the stay was. The upshot is that I'm experiencing severe insomnia, a reluctance to eat and indifference to it. Broken concentration to the point where I can't meditate for any length of time.

My new pdoc appointment isn't until August, but I already take meds to regulate my sleep. When I lay down, I am not the least bit sleepy, but if I get up (to read a book for distraction) I am immediately drowsy.

What the heck is happening? How long can my body stand this?

Thanks.
