I wanted to talk to my mother this week, but she doesn't have time or desire to talk to me. She's all caught up in my brother's family right now. He's got a young child she adores. My mother likes really young children, but loses interest as they get older.

But... There are plenty of times I'd rather have my teeth pulled than talk to her.

I've been singing "Cat's in the Cradle" to myself this week. Because it may be the opposite direction, but it's still true. :)

Of course, this is something I can easily live with.
