Some of the young women in Kyoto had made themselves look European, and basically it didn't work. Round eyes just didn't look good. Indians spend a fortune on skin whitening products and that doesn't look good either. I preferred the yogis in Pashupati who, completely naked, smeared their bodies with white ash. It's the same with kids. They compare themselves with the most beautiful of their sort. They never compare themselves with the 90 year olds. People are just never satisfied, and they don't know how beautiful they were until it is lost to them. The Vietnamese are the most beautiful peoples I have seen with their lovely straight black hair, trim bodies and beautiful faces.
