Belgium is a hop skip and a jump to the Netherlands as that was the route took. A few hours at most. The Delft factory is there and lots of seaport cities with people dressed in old world attire living the life as was with wooden shoes and all. Windmills abound. Switzerland still my favorite with day trips from Lake Geneva area to the resort spots of hour or so each way. Austria was before Switzerland for me And Freuds house is there. Lots of Castles all over Europe. Phillipa
