I definitely think there is a way to preserve these aspects of our mind and psyche, unfortunately, I don't think many of us babblers have been able to do that for obvious reasons.
Deneb, stay the way you are, there's no need to worry about what other people think. As long as you are healthy and happy, this is all that matters. If anyone does appear to be annoyed by you, it's most likely because deep down they are envious of you and they miss that child inside that we all would love to have more of.
