Catnip for split ends

Posted by Deneb on September 26, 2009, at 19:05:45

That must have been strange to read. LOL

Anyways, my family thinks I am nuts now, but it really does work!

One teaspoon of catnip, brewed in a mug of freshly boiled water. Brew it for about an hour or so until the temperature goes down. Use this catnip tea on your hair next time you wash it. Use it like a conditioner. Wash your hair, then instead of putting on conditioner, dip your length in the tea and then pour it all over your head. Then wear a shower cap and leave the catnip on for an hour. After an hour, rinse out the catnip. You can use some conditioner at this point if you wish.

The catnip has a lot of oil in it. It is good for my hair. I've read it does wonders at preventing split ends.

I have my wet catnip infused hair braided in a shower cap right now. It will be an hour in a few minutes.

My hair was ultra shiny last time I used catnip. I took my last picture then. Today I didn't use catnip and my hair wasn't as shiny. I am using the catnip now in hopes of making it shiny again.
