actually there is a whole bunch of them there. If you scroll down to the next one ('Diane') that seems to resemble mine more (basing my judgement on where I can feel the head of the screws / the scars from where the screws have been inserted). Pretty sure they didn't add any bone, though, just put screws through the bone that was there. At the time... The bone was basically shattered so it was just about holding the ankle straight as best they could with screws and an external fixture. I don't know what the box contraption is that they are on about...
Pretty sure that some of the bones in my foot are still dislocated. I remember them saying that they would likely do more damage than good if they attempted to pop them back in at the time. But... 5 or so years later... They should pop them back in now - right? Dunno... Guess we shall find out. It is going to be a royal pain in the butt if I have to go back to non weight bearing. Basically... Not possible for me to cope with the three flights of stairs...
