**somewhat mild triggers of worry**
I have been reading and reading about physics and the general situation with the science experiment I was worried about.
After lots and LOTS of reading, I have concluded the likelihood of something bad happening is extremely extremely low.
There are multiple MULTIPLE strange things that would have to occur and SEVERAL theoretical safety nets we have that would make even the most unexpected situation already safe would have to be wrong, in order for something bad to happen. It would be like walking the tight rope with 10 safety nets below you. You could still get hurt, but I wouldn't worry about it.
And these experiments have already been in use and tested for over 20 years on smaller scales and NOTHING unexpected has happened. In fact the most important predictions given in these experiments have been amazingly accurate. Good example is the discovery of the "W and Z bosons" which were predicted and then discovered and scientists' predicted calculations were amazingly close.
If these things were dangerous they would have already had problems long ago. One physicist wrote if something was going to happen it would have happened long ago. Most of the people saying we should be worried seem to know so little about physics most people on the forums don't take them seriously, like they're a joke. None of them are actual trained physicists.
I have learned a lot about physics and it has been a worrying ordeal but I'm a lot less worried now, I think everything is going to be alright, and that's really saying something because sometimes I'm hard to convince.
