Awwkkk...I know this wacky weather isn't fun for most. But...I remember back in the 70's as a kid though from Dec-March would be "Deep Freeze". We'd have at least 10-15 or so "snow" days off school, and my Dad would always have a skating rink all ready in the backyard. There was rarely (if!!) such a thing as a "green" Christmas. Now-a-days, people BBQ and have parties on their patios this time of year! I saw a kid with low-cut shorts on yesterday! Makes me yearn for the days of my snow-suit, the big snow-fort we'd make where the ditch is out front, and playing hockey on the 4 inch ice covered streets. Oh..and which brings me to my other point....yes Phillipa...I remember going in to watch Sonny and Cher on Saturday night with the snacks and goodies as a wee boy. :-)
