Bring a real friend next time. The fact that you said the "friend" was on the suspect list doesn't exactly endear the fellow to my heart.
Bring someone you can trust to take care of you. I've played the role of body guard many times, I'm sure you can find someone in your life willing to do that for you too. That way, if you need to have some fun and drink till you vomit ( needed, sometimes I know ). Then you know that your good friend will watch over you and hold your hair. That way, you won't have suspicious bruises cause they will have kept you from falling. It's also good to have someone you know drive you home.
