I totally know what you mean. I am an artist at heart and used to always carry a sketch pad with me. One day I just stopped for no reason. Anyway, now I know I would love to take a painting or ceramics class or something. Its just the effort and the money thing that stands in my way. I am making that one of my goals after I move though. My hobby cannot be watching tv!

Gee's recommendation about volunteering is something I've though about too. I might find it too depressing to actually work with elderly or the terminally ill (as much as I'd like to!) but I know there are behind the scenes things to do too.

I think it all goes back to the age old question of finding meaning in life. We may never find the answer, but it may be possible to find some comfort.
