Going to Vancouver- any ideas?

Hi All,
I'm going away for a few days to Vancouver. I've never been to Canada before, which is funny, since I've been to 4 continents!
Anyone have any suggestions for fun stuff to do? I'll be staying in downtown, and won't have a rental car. I can probably take a couple of afternoons off. Any local specialties I should eat (I'm going to eat a lot of salmon!) or restaurant recommendations?
Anyways, I haven't done much planning (or laundry!) for this trip-- I was just focused on getting my presentation prepared.
