The two people I've known who had prepaid phones were always running out of minutes, which meant you couldn't call them. And they seemed to spend more a month than a plan would cost. Your girls probably just don't talk that much. Although what girl doesn't talk on the phone much? I don't know. Maybe you just got a good deal.
I'm already commited now anyway. What I got was a:

• Any 400 Text / Instant / Picture / Video Messaging
• Unlimited T-Mobile WebI've never had text messaging, and don't know anyone who does, so I just got the smallest amount. And if I understand it correctly, Unlimited T-Mobile Web means access to the internet. I had to pay extra for those two things, about $5 each a month.
I hope I got everything right, I have a 2 year contract now. But my old phone had about had it (the antenna broke off) and my plan was old so I didn't really have enough minutes. Every so often I'd go over. In fact, I just realized that when I was on hold for so long last night, I used almost all my minutes!
