I remember that we got my college roommate a "magic bullet" for Valentine's Day one year. We were SO sick of hearing her complain that she didn't have a boyfriend on V.Day. Well, we gave it to her, and she giggled, ran to the bathroom, and we heard a little buzzy, and she screamed, and giggled some more.
I asked her about it a year later..
"oh, yeah. that was fun. I broke it though.."

we used to go to the adult toy store a lot in college. it was the only thing open past midnight (besides walmart & Denny's). We got to know the sales staff pretty well :) They helped my friend out for his human sexuality final project. They donated a box of porn tapes. We had a lot of fun watching those senior year. Imagine HOW BAD a video has to be to be unsaleable. LOL
I think hitachi magic wand is rumored to be indestructible, but may have too much horsepower for many people. the little bullet model we got my friend was kind of cute, because it had a long wire, with a remote control. so, you could put it in place, and then go about your daily business... buzzing like a bee. :)
On Sex and the City they talk about a rabbit shaped vibrator that was all the rage. (season 3?)
