> About the umbrella....I'd sure hate to live where the stuff what was on the umbrella came sliding off to. You ever had someone give you a soaking with their umbrella runoff? Imagine a city's worth of snow.

well you could put one around NZ and the run off could run off into the ocean. i guess they would need to be continent sized umbrellas :-)

Eh? Do you mean to say you would need a great jolly big one?

Hmm... Well... Tell it to the peoples living (almost) under the hole (thats me) we have the lowest burn times and the radiation is pretty fierce :-( highest skin cancer rates in the world :-( (cough, hack)

Ah, I didn't know that :-)
Other peoples think its a bad idea 'cause of earthquakes. But up in the air ain't so grand for earthquakes either ;-)

> What would you do with the stuff you dug up making the holes you'd need?

Why you would make yourself a mountain or a small island :-)

:-P

Hmm. I reckon we will probably nuke each other...

:-)
I'm good at worrying :-)

> > could we make enough energy to keep us warm?

Hmm. That looks familiar... energy = mass... something about acceleration???

> And besides, before the sun goes out, it will expand. We'll be inside the sun long before it gets too cool for our liking.

Oh.
Well then... So we need to find a planet thats a bit further away?
Which planet do you think we should live on Larry Hoover?

> They've actually almost got synthetic meat figured out. Cell culture from muscle cells. No need to slice it. It forms in sheets. I can hardly wait to try some. <sarcasm>

mmm.
well... no animals were harmed in the growing of this meat... i suppose... it would sorta count as vegetarian?!

> You think with your hands? How, uhhhh, unuuuusual.

You watch out or I'll show you what else these hands are good for ;-)

<grumble grumble>
