Hi AdaGrace,
I was unemployed for most of last year. Most of it was spent in a major depression lying on the couch. After the ADs finally kicked in and I could crawl off the couch I decided to strip paint off my front door and varnish it.
Do not tackle a major project not knowing what you are doing. Stick to the popsicle stick frames. I discovered the hard way that the door was painted because it was cheap plywood over solid oak. Now I have a front door that looks nice from the sidewalk, but up close it is badly varnished and gouged cheap plywood. Maybe I should cover it with popsicle sticks, it would be an improvement.
