it seems to me if all those protesters were that anxious to assure every living body got rehabilative care, they could spend a few hours a day spoon feeding some indigent people who might want rehab but can't afford it. Or maybe quietly visiting those who are dying alone for want of a compassionate touch and someone with whom to share a meal.

The thing with Terri is her parent's refusal to let her have her way once she was mature provided a public forum for people whose evangelical faith values recruiting others more so than serving others. Their passion for their own subjective desires nearly drowned out Terri's own words, repeated by her closest friends, and consistently understood by some of the very same justices these evangelicals have been organizing to put in power.

This idea that somebody can bully me or anybody else into accepting their "culture of life" is quite disturbing to me, especially when the well-to-do executive proclaiming this new culture is not especially inclined to subsidize life with his own excess wealth. I'm thinking all this "culture of life" rhetoric is overcompensation by some people who refuse to share freely with others the things that could let more people enjoy their brief taste of life while it lasts.
