i've thought more about this unapproachability thing, and i think it's more that you communicate a certain emotional distance. (so rest easy, you are by no means scary or intimidating in the traditional sense.)
as for the book, i never read it!! i'm, like, such a loser. <popping bubblegum> i saw the movie when i was a kid, which i loved, so after watching the movie i wasn't particularly interested in reading it.
