this is driving me nuts

Posted by lostforwards on December 1, 2004, at 10:07:30

Honestly I want nothing to do with doctors but I feel obliged to stay with the doctor I have. She's a good doctor, as far being tollerant and nice to talk to. If I leave I may not find another as good as her. My mom is also on my back about ( but I'm 22, it's my decision ). I feel stuck in a rut.

The problem is I've been screwed over by the meds. Doc said the side-effects will go away, but suspiciously wants to start me on epival. Someone told me it was good treatment for those side-effects... I used to just take Lithium. It worked before, and it's working now, why epival?

I'm just fed up with all this junk. I wish (well not really) my tongue were moving around and I had the typical facial twitches you get if you have side-effects but no, I've got to have stereotypies, and arched or twitching eyebrow, and a weak left leg.

You know what's weird? I was just playing my guitar, in other words my fingers in my left hand were moving a lot. When I stopped my arm immediately assumed the position of being held up against my shoulder. What the heck is that?
I know it's not normal.

BTW, my left arm hardly ever swings now too. It's been over 2 months and it hasn't improved. On top of that my left knee is weak, and the leg feels very bendable ( not as controlled ), compared to my right leg. My right eyebrow also arches or is twitching.

I don't care what anybody says. I didn't hit my god damn knee. Somethings wrong, the fact that it's my left arm, and my left leg, and my right eyebrow, makes me pretty suspicious too. The fact that it all happened after the use of the drug too is not a coincidence.

I know something's wrong. I'm living through it. And I don't really want to keep seeing my doctor.
