The Man who'll pay to be adopted

Did anyone read or hear about the 72 yr-old (I believe) widower in Italy (I believe) who put an ad in the newspaper? He wants a family to adopt him as a grandfather, and he'll pay for it. I'm thinking that was an incredibly brave thing for someone to do. And very very emotionally smart. Hmm, I think I'd like him, as a person. Anybody seen him?
