Babble mail is a way to send email, yet keep your true identity to yourself.
If you send someone a babblemail, it goes through Dr. Bob's database to find the correct mail and then gets forwarded to the other poster. All identifying information is stripped off.
When you get one, it is an email from babble with a subject something like 'babblemail from <poster>.' The reply button won't work, you have to use babblemail to answer. At which point you can trade real email addrs if you want to.
It only works if the recipiant (and I think the sender) have in their profiles that they will allow babblemail (can I shorten this to bm. lots of typing)
It's a great system. A bit about it is in the FAQ. The form is at http://www.dr-bob.org/cgi-bin/pb/babblemail.pl
