150mg Wellbutrin and 1mg Xanax
< What made you change
I couldn't handle the fatigue, mental fogginess, lack of concentration and poor memory from the Lexapro. The worst was the extreme fatigue. Nodding off at the wheel was just not acceptable to me.
> and how are your symptoms on WB?
I still have some insomnia a little short-term memory difficulty, but overall I feel much better.
> How long have you been on it?
I think I switched in February.
>My doc cautioned me not to take decongestants or drink a lot of coffee.
My doctor told me that it not only exaggerates the effects of caffeine, but the caffeine seems to stay in the system longer. A decongestant like Sudafed (because of the pseudoephedrine) could be a problem, but I take Benadryl and Claritin with no problem at all.
>Did you notice any increase ni blood pressure or even just palpitations?
My blood pressure always ran on the low side, so that wasn't a concern for me.
>I started all this due to a diagnosis of PMDD (I'm 40 & perimenopausal) combined with some life changes that were increasing my depression and anxiety.

> I'm expecting the insomnia and am armed with Melatonin!Oh! I had bad experience with Melatonin, so unless you are familiar with it, don't start it after the Wellbutrin. I take Xanax, which helps some. But benedryl is probably or more help to me (I take 3 to sleep).
> I'm also expecting some agitation/hyperness due to the "activating" effect of WB, and I can usually handle that sort of behavior pretty well.
Again, avoid ANYTHING with a stimulant effect such as coffee, tea, chocolate, etc, especially for the first week.
>I have a few more days of the 10mg of Lex and by this weekend I can switch. I'm anxious to get started and see how the new med feels.

After the first week or so, I was fine. But the insomnia was pretty bad for about 2-3 days. Then I felt like I had about 1 cup of coffee too much for a few days. But now I am fine.> Thanks again for answering and sorry for so many questions, but this is once again new territory!
