Ask the MD about a walking cast if possible. She won't be able to do jumping kinds of sports but she would be able to ride an exercise bike.
I think this is also where you get really creative. My guys like to shoot hoops with their dad but since breathing is an issue, they play a silly game of lawn chair Bball -- they move the chair all over the patio and see who can make it. They are very creative and goofy.
The other thing is to go get some chick flicks and the two of you just spend time together. You can do all kinds of girly things -- nails, funny magazine quizzes, etc.
Sick/hurt kids are tough. I wish you strength and patience.
