It is amazingly compelling, isn't it? Do you know why it passed? Are you married, if so does your spouse want a child?
I think my son is against it because of normal sibling jealousy. He sees my 2 y.o. taking up so much of my time and since he was an only child for so long probably doesn't want to share mom any more than necessary.
My husband is a different story. His concern is my mental status- I've had a pretty rough time cycling (bipolar disorder) the last few years- and some hospitalizations for manic episodes thrown in along with a lot of financial disaster. I need to show him I can be stable for some time, but I guess I feel like I don't have that much 'fertile' time left, so there lies the pressure.
