She has so many that they have spread thought 3 rooms upstairs and the bathroom (I have my own room and bath, she "occupies" the rest of the upstairs). She claims she has nothing to wear. That nothing fits. More than a month ago I agreed to do something special for her that I didn't want to do if she would agree to sort through and collect the clothes that don't fit her anymore. Needless to say, this has not yet happened.
>I think your daughter and my daughter are related. My son and daughter (when she still lived here) had the downstairs, and I had the upstairs. The house is upside-down--kitchen, living room, etc. and master bedroom are upstairs, and other bedrooms down. The kids even had their own family room to trash.
> Somehow I can't get motivated to get rid of my old clothes (which I still hope to fit into at some point), when hers are so much of a mess (and she will never get smaller - she has grown and at her age this is a good thing). I recognize that this is nonsense and that I am just being stubborn and contrary. But all of my clothes fit in my closet and dresser (OK, and ON my dresser).
>Mine collect over the footboard of the bed (the opposite of the headboard) and in laundry baskets. I got rid of a lot of too-small clothes a few months ago, thinking that a) I would never lose the weight, and b) if I did, they would be out of style. Then I lost weight. Now I've gained most of it back (I'm afraid to weigh myself). Some of the wt. gain might be the aftereffects of lithium, which I took for only 2 or 3 weeks, and stopped about 3 weeks ago. My ankles are not quite as swollen, but I'm still fatter.
It's very frustrating. I felt good about dropping the weight, and just felt a little better physically.
> Maybe I'll do my freezer for trash day (Wednesday).
I thought I had cleaned out my freezer, but I'm finding mystery food in it. Maybe I'll pick a shelf and go for it. Trash night is tonight.
