I don't know about ventilation. It didn't seem to have a smell. Unless it instantly seared my nostrils-- no wait I can smell chicken cooking. Nostrils are still A-OK.
But I recommend rubber gloves in case it splashes. Dissolves skin on contact, etc etc. Nasty acid stuff.
