I have long hair, my daughter has long hair, one of my dogs has very long hair, and the other has just regular long hair. The very long haired dog is shedding.

My solution to the "hair in the vacuum" problem is that I have mostly hardwood floors, so I just wait until the dog hair has collected in bunches on the sides of the room, and then I can pick it up. This also uses less electricity, so there is a savings there.

When I do get hair in the vacuum with the beater bar (for my rare rug areas), I use a razor blade to cut the hair, then I don't have to worry about damaging the bristles (because I cut in between them). But please be careful if you do this!!!

For Xmas my parents gave me some money so I could have someone come and vacuum my floors, wash the kitchen floor and clean the bathrooms. I still haven't called the person. I should do that.
