I don't know if it's the same thing, but I was given smooth cylindrical objects with rounded ends to use for stretching tissues and helping with any potential vaginismus problems (I don't think I had too much of that problem) after some surgery down there.

I personally didn't like them, and my gynecologist sent me to a local store that sells "personal massagers". I got one of those long ones with a gently tapered end. The tapered end gave me more gradual control than jumping to an entire different size dilator. Plus it glowed in the dark! I also had a prescription for topical lidocaine to numb the tissues so I could really stretch them out without causing pain.

I don't know if this'll help any with vaginismus per se, but hope that helps someone with stretching issues.

BTW, the Kegel Guy is hilarious!
