I've seen Kill Bill twice. The first time there were a few scenes I had difficulty watching as I knew something rather nasty was going to happen and it is the anticipation rather than the actual act that gets me more often than not.

I suppose the appeal of the movie will be lost on those who don't have a liking for anime and manga, spaghetti westerns, kung fu, and violent B-movies.
