Hi,
I am new on this forum, having come over from the Medication related forum. I am asking advice about a subject for which there may be no good answer but here goes.
I have been told about a person in our main office which is 1100 miles from here. I know him from several years ago when I used to visit that office frequently. He is about 50 yrs old, is a 20 yr plus government contractor employee at a management level. The stories I have been told recently are that his personal hygiene has deteriorated, having terrible BO, his office space area is dirtier and messier every day. He has become less and less social and more stand offish. He always has been an "odd duck" but this new trend is leaning toward mental illness and I think he needs help.
How do you approach this? Are there any steps that can be taken to help? These could be the symptoms of Schiz. or Bipolar. I am afraid if no one can reach him soon he will lose his job. Both he and his fellow employees are suffering.
