oh boy I could sure chart my moods by the tunes.

Sad, depressed? Listen to the Cure. Wild Mood Swings and Disintegration are albums guaranteed to turn on the waterworks.

Angry, homocidal, suicidal? Alice In Chains. Album: Dirt. My mother threatened to throw me in the mental hospital when I bought that album.

Feeling manic? Welcome to the world of "happy hardcore", with the best examples being DJ Vinylgroover and Anabolic Frolic. Just try moving those feet at 140 beats per minute for an hour, wow!

Generalized dark hatred of humanity? Nine Inch Nails.

Lost and disillusioned with life? Depeche Mode.

Man hating? Try Tori Amos. (I know, not a fair characterization of her music, but I always man-hate and listen to her)

Generally OK? The Tragically Hip if I want to sing along, Orbital if I don't. I have the Hip on right now :)
