Don't worry about the cops. Don't worry about the neighbors. I have the right to say that cause I've been through the same mess more than once...police, paramedics, flashing lights, neighbors on their porches, all that stuff that makes you just want to melt into the floor like the wet Wicked Witch of the West (try to say that fast three times...)

Don't matter, the important thing is that they didn't take your kids, thank God for that. I know it won't make you feel any better right now but I can tell you, surviving these awful times WILL make you stronger, it makes the little stuff that some people freak over just...well, little. I'm not talking about anyone here on PB, having your mind turn against you - using all its powers for evil instead of good - that's serious, serious business.

I'm talking about the foolishness you see on TV -
neighbors at war over a tree that drops limbs on the other guy's lawn, people who get SO WORKED UP over stupid stuff.

You'll see, JYL, once you've had time to recover,
your focus does shift, you have new perspective over what's important and what's not - and the bad times you endured become the source of your strength.

But it takes awhile to reach that point, you need some time to heal and distance yourself from the painful event. Try to be especially good to yourself for now, if you can't do it for you than do it for us...
