Shar, the negative stuff is coming from in my head. I knew before I went that I wouldn't get any negative stuff from other people--not that kind of gathering, thank goodness.

I went, had a good time at the party. Saw a few old friends. Met some very interesting people to talk to--it is amazing how refreshing it is to meet people who have interesting things to say and are nice, etc.

Spent a wee bit of time on the beach--but only early in the morning, as I hate the hot sun. Picked up some cool shells and rocks.

Hotel? Nope. Motel. Not so great. Yes, clean towels, that was good. And the AC worked. It wasn't a bad motel, but not wonderful, either. Not as clean as I'd like. But adequate. Oh well..

Then, travelling back was awful. First, I went to have my massage which was good, but afterwards, my card was declined! It is not a real credit card--more of a debit card, really, but can be used like credit card. So, I go to transfer money into the account from another account--and the bank's automated system was down! So here I am at this semi-swanky spa, looking like I just stole a massage from them. I went round and round with the bank--customer service couldn't help because their computers were all down. Finally, after two calls to the local branch manager, I convinced him to transfer the money for me. But I also discovered that I grossly miscalculated how much money I had in the bank. Leaving me with very little cash until next pay day. After that, it should be somewhat better, because my new raise kicks in. But I have to get a passpost post haste and am going to have to borrow the money to do so. I am going overseas with my parents for a family wedding. So, my mom calls today to say that they have to have my passport number in order to assign us seats. Sigh. So I'll be the one in the middle seat in the last row of the jumbo jet--have you ever experienced this???--because I won't have my passport number until it is time to go, practically. If I can get my act together to get the photos and borrow the money and get an expedited application sent in. Sigh.

I'm having a lousy lousy day. Oh, yes, I was talking about the travel problems. After I finally payed off the massage fee, it was time to hit the road to the airport. Traffic. Cut it real close. But, get in to the check in and find out all flights were delayed due to weather. Delays went on for hours. THen, when we landed, we couldn't get off the plane because the gate was broken. We sat in this HOT plane for an extra hour! Finally, they brought rolling stairs and we got off at the back of the plane. Didn't get home til 2 am!!

Woke up around 10 today and have been in a space cadet mode. Really--I lost a few hours of consciousness playing solitaire on the computer. When I looked at the clock and saw it was 2 pm, I suddenly remembered that I *think* I had made a therapy appointment for today at 1 pm!! SH**!

I'm feeling really pissy and crabby and depressed today.

So much for "vacation effect"!
