And as a parent I feel for your family and their suffering for your daughter’s plight. I can only begin to imagine how you must feel. Our son, our only child, is four and we are blessed that he is safe and well. Comparatively, your position is just ... devastation. We (many of us who have tried to offer Kristen our support) pray for her and you and your loved ones and if we could, we will want to offer our support to you in this dark hour. You have my sympathies, while we pray for and continue to hope for the best.

Since you now have control of her e-mail account (and therefore I will presume you will eventually read this), I want to ask you, again, if you could offer any more information about her prognosis, or anything that could give us some validation of the current events affecting Kristen.

dear RichardN,

i have only offered support and my personal compassion to you and your family in your time of suffering ... i never meant to aggravate the painfulness of your ongoing tragedy ... i apologize if what i have writted has offended you ... that was and is the furtherest thing from my intentions.

i can, with great confidence i feel, promise you that no one here has ever meant your daughter any harm ... indeed, every poster has offered support and encouragement to keep her from harm , while many of have been very worried about our inability to do anything to keep her from harm ... i am sorry that our good intentions proved, as we feared, inadequate to protect her from peril.

i pray for kristen's recovery and for your and your family's well-being ... may you all be free from suffering soon.

~ jim

P.S. if you have a specific question about the e-mail messages i have exchanged with your daughter i will be more than willing to reply ... i intended that they could speak for themselves ... the one you've posted above still seems as clear to me as when i sent it to Kristen ... i am sorry if it has managed to compound your confusion.
